Pregnancy, Prenatal & Maternity Massage
Pregnancy Massage is the use of massage therapy during pregnancy to decrease some of the discomfort that often accompanies the time during pregnancy and after giving birth.
During a Pregnancy Massage session, the expecting mother’s comfort is the foremost priority. Additional bolstering, blankets, and heat pads may be used to ensure that the client is able to relax and find comfort on the massage table. Usually this means laying on one side or the other, but occasionally a mother will be able to find comfort on either her stomach or her back. Each client is approached according to her individual needs.
Furthermore, the months after giving birth can be uncomfortable as well as the new mother adjusts to the postures of breast-feeding, and nurturing for a new born. New mothers are always welcome to get treated for these common postural imbalances, but also to just relax and enjoy some time to themselves!
Thai Herbal Compress Treatment
Designed to relieve pain and inflammation, this remedy dates back more than 5,000 years in Thailand. Carefully selected therapeutic herbs, including ginger, turmeric, lemongrass and prai are wrapped in a muslin cloth in the shape of a ball and then steamed to form a heated compress. The heated application is then gently applied to areas of muscle aches and inflammation using circular movements, pressing, stamping and rolling.
This method can be done over old clothing or directly to the skin. If you decide to stay fully clothed for this treatment, we recommend wearing dark colors, as sometimes staining can occur.
The two herbal balls can be used up to 3 times and you are free to take them home with you to store them in your freezer, keeping them fresh. If you bring them back for another Thai Herbal Treatment, we will discount your service $15. After 3 sessions, you will have to pay full price for the service to include a new set of herbal compresses. You will also need to pay full price if you forget to bring your herbal compresses with you to your service and we need to supply a new set. You may also submerse your muslin-filled herbals into warm bath water but keep in mind they will no longer be able to be used in treatment sessions.

Cedar Infrared Sauna
Completely let go as stress and muscle tension “melt” away with the use of the Cedar Far Infrared Sauna complete with chakra balancing chromotherapy (light therapy), mood enhancing essential oils, and a powerful sound escape for a “tranquil immersion into the peace and spaciousness at the heart of enlightenment”. Far Infrared Sauna Technology has been extensively researched for over 40 years. Far infrared light rays are used to penetrate the skin’s surface, effectively warming soft tissue, joints and bone. Compared to traditional saunas, far infrared technology allows for a more comfortable environment to sit in since the temperature is concentrated below the skin’s surface rather than heating the air around you. This makes deep breathing easy, allowing for extended time in the sauna which helps maximize its health benefits to include:
- cutting cold or flu times in half
- better sleep at night
- elevated mood
- inspired creative energy
- removing “chill” from the bones
- heightened awareness due to meditative states that can be reached
- improved skin conditions from eczema, dry skin and acne blemishes
- ease of pain associated with fibromyalgia, whiplash or sports injury
- increased mobility
- high vibratory frequency
- mental clarity
- increased libido
- balanced body, mind, spirit
- weight loss & management
- alleviation of SAD (seasonal affective disorder aka the winter blues)
Pair the sauna session with a massage or facial for the ultimate experience. (The order in which you book your appointment online to compliment another service does not matter, your sauna session will always follow another session). Invite a friend or partner to sit in the 2-person sauna with you for an additional $5. Generally, the sauna is entered nude, however, you may choose to wear a swimsuit or cotton tanktop and shorts. Plush towels, robes and hydrating refreshments are provided. 2-3 sessions per week is recommended, however, even just one session will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
